Shhhh! The only thing cuter then a sleeping pup or a sleeping baby is a sleeping pup AND baby. This week's Silent Sunday post features the adorable Caroline, 5.5 months old, and her furry friend Hunter of South Carolina. When Caroline isn't snuggled up with her favorite pooch she can be spotted around town toting her favorite toy, the Cordy Roy Frog! Caroline also enjoys her crinkly butterfly, modeling for Mommy's Instagram photos and lounging around the house with Mommy's bathrobe.
Thank you, Amy G. for sharing this tender moment for Silent Sunday.

It's Reed's first Easter! This was not a playdate but I just had to share his adorable photo! My little social butterfly was quite excited to meet the Easter Bunny and as usual he flirted with all of the ladies working at Mr. Bunny's burrow. Haha!
Location: MacArthur MallCost: Price varies depending on the quantity of photos purchased.
Happy Easter, everyone!
Location: Barnes & Noble
Cost: Free! well... if you don't count the latte I HAD to have. LOL
How many children attended: This is a public event. Approximately 7 children attended. (age 5 months- 5 years)
What I brought and why:
- 1 soft, easy to wash blanket because Reed likes to get in the action and would never just sit in his stroller while the other kids are on the floor!
- several quiet Lamaze toys (courtesy of our friend Payton of Tales of Learning, Loving & Living and one of our favorite dentist, Dr. M. Cantwell of Cantwell Dental Group) because while I was hoping my dear boy would like story time I wanted something to occupy him just in case!
- one tall latte because they are heaven on earth.
What I should have brought:
- a grande latte instead of a tall just because who can ever get enough Starbucks!
I was very excited about attending our first story time at our local Barnes & Noble. However, I was a little nervous that Reed would not share in my excitement. My husband and I make an attempt to read to Reed regularly and normally when we do Reed is rolling around, biting the book or screaming because we are not turning the pages fast enough! Hence, why I packed away a few quiet toys in our bag!
Once we arrived I headed straight for the Starbucks (naturally) and then to the children's stage area to lay out our blanket and toys. There were several other small children there and Reed shared his blanket and toys with his new friend, B, that we met there! Much to my delight when the story teller began to read, Reed stopped playing with his toys and listened to the whole story like a little angel! (Such a master of disguise my boy is!)
They read two short children's books followed by a brief coloring session. Reed colored his very first picture (seen below) and then he tried to eat it. Nevertheless the picture is hanging proudly on our refrigerator! Cookies were offered to all of the children for doing such a great job listening and coloring their pictures. (We, of course, had to pass on our cookie this time but maybe in a few more months!)
All in all we had a great time and will be attending Story Time at Barnes & Noble again!
As the weekend comes to an end it's time to take a moment to breath, smell the flowers and kick our feet up. Silent Sunday will be a weekly post featuring a precious little one (or ones if you have more then one!) relaxing, kicking back or taking a snooze!
To get us started this weeks Silent Sunday model is my son, Reed. After a busy morning of playing with his toys, two walks to the park with Daddy and a trip to the grocery store, Reed is currently enjoying a peaceful nap in his new rocking chair.
